Our Fresh Osteochondral Allograft Program provides a variety of choices for repair of articular cartilage and subchondral bone defects. Osteochondral allografts eliminate the discomfort and morbidity associated with autogenous grafting. These allografts restore movement to patients who suffer from pain and limited mobility preventing them from enjoying daily activities. By transplanting mature hyaline cartilage with viable chondrocytes, patients may return to a more active lifestyle and prevent or delay more complicated and invasive joint replacement surgeries.
Fresh grafts have a short expiration date which requires detailed, coordinated planning in order to offer custom options for each qualifying patient. Microbiological testing is performed by our in-house CAP accredited and CLIA certified laboratory.
These bio-implants are only cleared for release after serology results are finalized.
